Why do many large meteorites fall in the vast expanses of the Sakha Republic? Perhaps the reason for this is the huge size of the region or the peculiarities of the geological structure? Or could there really be alien bases hiding somewhere in the mountains? The places for this are almost ideal — sparsely populated, hard to reach. Information that an unidentified flying object crashed in Yakutia, east of the village of Zhigansk, in the foothills of the Verkhoyansky Ridge in 1978, appeared relatively late: a certain former KGB officer Andrei Petrov, a resident of Konkov, told journalists about the disaster in the late 1990s. The retired captain was allegedly personally present at the crash site of the object and, due to his official position, was informed about the further fate of the crashed "saucer" and its pilots.

He said that the crash of an unidentified flying object happened in the Yakut ASSR on February 17, 1978 at 22: 13 local time. The spacecraft crashed 56 kilometers from Zhigansk — on the right bank of the Lena River, near its tributary, the Begijyan River. The fallen object was a shiny disk with a dome, its diameter was 6.2 meters, and its height was 3.8 meters. The reason for the fall, according to local residents, was a fight between unidentified flying objects, which they observed in the night sky over the village half an hour before the UFO crash. Since the military did not record any violators in the sky of the Soviet Union, the authorities became aware of the incident only after a call to Yakutsk from local airport employees. However, due to severe frosts and a short day that lasts only a few hours in the Arctic in winter, the military refused to search for the fallen object — perhaps they considered the signal about the fall of a UFO erroneous.

However, in June 1978, a silver object was discovered by polar aviation pilots who were performing a passenger flight from Zhigansk to Verkhoyansk on a Yak-40. After the repeated signal that the object on the bank of the Begijyan River really exists, a special group of employees of the State Security Committee flew to the place. 14 people from Moscow took part in the expedition. They were taken by two Mi-8 helicopters from Yakutsk to the crash site of the spacecraft, where they carefully examined it from the outside, and later covered the object with some specialized material, and from above-with a tarpaulin.

KGB captain Petrov himself was at the crash site, but he did not approach the" saucer", he saw it only from afar, and there was no desire to get closer — some of the scientists who examined the object became ill. Directly from Zhigansk, two had to be sent to the hospital in Yakutsk by an urgent flight — they lost consciousness and complained of severe weakness. One of them began to lose his hair right there, in the camp.

However, scientists still managed to get inside the alien spacecraft. They found that the ship has three decks. The cockpit was located on the lowest one. There, in strange, cocoon-like chairs, scientists found the bodies of two aliens. The height of extraterrestrial beings was about one and a half meters, they had large heads without hair, large eyes and six fingers on their limbs. The aliens were dressed in overalls, and the stripes on them were different: one had a square, and the second had a circle with a triangle inscribed in it.

In order to better study the remains of aliens, their ship and unknown technologies, it was decided to take a UFO out of the tundra to the Mainland. This was done with the help of a cargo helicopter Mi-6, capable of lifting up to 15 tons of cargo. First, the disk, carefully packed in a protective membrane and tarpaulin, was taken to the capital of Yakutia, and 10 days later the object was transported through Ust-Kut and Krasnoyarsk to the closed Siberian city of Tomsk-7, aka Seversk, where secret facilities for the production of highly enriched uranium were located. Top-secret cargo was regularly delivered to this closed settlement, the arrival of another one should have gone unnoticed. In addition, Soviet scientists may have believed that the alien spacecraft could have an atomic engine, and the necessary specialists — physicists and engineers-were in Seversk.

It is known that in Seversk the UFO was hidden in an underground bunker intended for storage of nuclear waste. There he was studied for a long time by a group of scientists gathered throughout the USSR. Ex-KGB officer Petrov assured that even the leading figure of Soviet atomic science, academician Anatoly Alexandrov, came to Seversk to inspect UFOs. On the trip, he was allegedly accompanied by Anatoly Logunov, Doctor of Physical and mathematical sciences, the developer of the relativistic theory of gravity, which denied Einstein's theory of relativity and assumed a transition to a new level of knowledge.

It is not known how much new facts enriched Logunov's theory of gravity after such a trip, but it is quite known that a year and a half later, at the very end of 1979, the disk was secretly delivered to the Soviet science city Protvino near Moscow-to the Institute of High Energy Physics, where it was safely hidden in one of the hangars of the experimental base of the institute. For almost ten years, Soviet scientists studied the alien ship, and in 1988 they made an attempt to lift it into the air. However, the experiment failed — the ship rose only five meters above the ground, after which it fell on the launch pad. The test pilots who took the place of the aliens on the bridge of the ship were injured.

Since then, experiments to restore the "plate" were stopped, and after the collapse of the USSR, the object was mothballed. It is not known in what condition the "plate" is now, as it is also unknown whether it is located on the territory of Russia or in the 1990s it was taken out of the country to the United States or Western Europe.

The bodies of the alien pilots were taken to Moscow in 1978 — to the so-called secret military laboratory "Vnukovo", located near the airport of the same name. There, in an underground room, an autopsy of the aliens was performed. Unfortunately, Captain Petrov could not tell anything about his results — obviously, this was not his level of competence.
