I saw a UFO once with my own eyes. And other bystanders admired this fabulous spectacle.
It happened in Nizhny Tagil. I left the post office building on Tsiolkovsky Street. It was already dark. And suddenly in the north I saw a bright and unusual moving object with a fan of rays on the "tail". He flew from west to east. The speed was like that of a military aircraft. But without noise. Somewhere above the metallurgical plant (NTMK), instead of rays, a rainbow-colored halo appeared for a moment. Then the object turned into a small bright ball and after 3-4 seconds instantly disappeared into the darkness.
I wrote down what I saw in my diary. It was November 25, 1992 at about 5.30 pm. After 2-3 days, a message about the same appeared in the Ural Worker and other newspapers.

Booster, the rocket and tracks
For UFOs often take stages of rockets, parts of space ships burning in the atmosphere, the launches of various missile technology for military purposes, etc., and traces from them. They attract attention mostly in the dark, but in the day time have a greater aura of mystery.
Formation of the track of the launch vehicle occurs in the tropopause (the layer between the troposphere and stratosphere), which sharply reduced the vertical temperature gradient. The emergence of the so-called "jellyfish" influenced by water vapor, which are subject to enhanced condensation.
