An interesting and somewhat similar case is given in the newspaper "Artemovsky Worker" for January 14, 1993.

A relative of T.H. Maximova, the author of the article, worked as a track walker on the railway and somehow returned home late. And what seemed surprising to her: not a single locomotive catches up with her and does not go towards her, as usual. She got scared, and she ran, looking around to see if any train was coming. Suddenly he sees two lights burning behind him, shining green. And it's quiet all around – neither a leaf nor a branch moves anywhere, only lights move in a bunch. The woman started running again – the lights are not lagging behind. Tripping over the sleepers, she broke the lantern and skinned her knees. Cursing, she began to wait - come what may. Out of anger, I even stopped being afraid: two deaths will not happen, and one will not pass. Standing, waiting. And the lights are getting closer.

Then the moon peeked out from behind the clouds, and the woman sees: three cats are walking along the way. They don't look like ordinary ones at all, much larger, but no bigger than a lynx. They are long-legged, with big bulging eyes, and their tails are long and curled into a steering wheel on their tails. They pass by, but they pay zero attention to her. She wanted to touch one of the cats by the tail and only stretched out her hand, and she glared, and her hand was scalded with boiling water.

The woman crossed herself and crossed the cats: go, they say, with God. I was already walking home calmly, I wasn't scared. And soon the train passed; the woman was only surprised that it seemed to be at the wrong time. And when she came home, her husband scolded her: where, they say, she was staggering until the morning…
