Initial data
The village of Table, Tambov district, April 25, 1999, 17.30.
One afternoon, P.I. Bondarov, 16.5 years old, a student of a local school, decided to walk around the neighborhood of his village, of which he was a resident. The weather was good and the boy walked slowly, collecting morels. He knew the area very well, because he was born and grew up in this village. A witness at the edge of the forest in the south-east of the village (the vegetation is very dense here, the ground is covered with tall bushes) suddenly noticed a metal dome rising above the tops of the bushes 50 meters away. After walking forward a couple more steps, P.I. Bondarov parted the leaves and saw the entire object standing on the ground.
Suddenly, he was blinded by a very strong yellow-orange light coming from three holes or rectangular panels on the dome. The intensity was so great that the dome seemed to separate from the more massive lower part. The lower section seemed flat and squeezed on the sides. The surface looked like a "piece of paper from chocolate" (meaning, obviously, aluminum foil).
The witness's surprise quickly turned to fear. He was paralyzed, couldn't move. He can't say for sure if it was caused by fright or yellow light coming from the object. The witness continued to observe the object for some time, noticing a green dot in the center of the glow. There was absolute silence and there was no noticeable movement.
Suddenly the object began to rise and P.I. Bondarov saw it hanging over the tops of bushes. The object approached about 35 meters away and 3 or 4 round holes in the lower part became clearly distinguishable. The dimensions of the object were approximately estimated at 20 meters in diameter and 10 meters in height. 3 antennas of different lengths were visible on the dome: 4, 2 and 1.5 meters. The antennas were rigid and did not shake.
As the object slowly rose, the rays of light turned away from the witness and he began to see normally again. The witness clearly saw the lower part of the climbing object and at that time heard a whistling sound. The bottom of the object looked the same metal, four supports or legs were clearly visible. P.I. Bondarov describes them as "short and hard", vertically arranged and metallic. They ended in rectangles; the same rectangles seemed to be cut from the bottom of the object at the base of the "legs". As they ascended, the supports were gradually removed inside the object, and the ends of the "legs" fit perfectly to the holes at the base. The object flew directly over the witness, showing the correct round shape
Having gained a height of about 350 meters, the object suddenly "jumped" up and after 3-4 seconds disappeared behind the forest in the north-northwest. The witness felt that when he moved, he had a feeling of warmth. He could not firmly determine whether it was the fault of the object or was caused by a nervous shock. P.I. Bondarov estimates the entire observation time at 6-8 minutes.
When the object disappeared, the boy regained the ability to move, and he rushed headlong to the village. For some time he did not inform anyone about the observation. His fright was so strong that he did not leave the house for several evenings.
P.I. Bondarov came to the landing site after 8 days and found a round area with destroyed vegetation, as well as four deep marks on solid ground.
