Elizabeth Selivanova, who observed an unusual phenomenon at the Vaskelovo station, writes:
I decided to write a letter about what I had seen in the summer of 1984.. At that time I was living outside the city (Vaskelovo station, 60 km from Leningrad.
I don't remember exactly, but it was in early August. When I woke up at night, I saw through the window that it was very light outside. Looking at the sky, I saw a large glowing and blurry circle. There was a green spot in the center of the circle. This spot didn't move.
Without leaving the window, I looked at my watch. It was 3 a.m.
I continued to observe. A white cloud appeared from behind the glowing circle, which began to obscure a small part of the sky. Then this cloud somehow quickly returned to the glowing circle and all this began to move away towards the east. The form has changed: this took the form of an elongated cone of blue color.
Besides me, 3 other people were watching.
