On August 18, V. Sokolovsky gathered in the forest for cranberries.

To get on the commuter bus for the first flight, I left the house in advance, at four o'clock in the morning. It was clear, dry weather. My way lay along Leningradskaya Street in a southerly direction to the train station. After walking along it for about ten minutes, i.e. approximately at four ten - four fifteen, in the area of Sennaya Street, I turned back to make sure there were no cars and cross the road.

And then I saw a bright continuous white light source in a northerly direction at a high altitude. From him to the ground diverged

matte light cone.

The cone stood motionless and there was no sound. I didn't look at him for a long time, because I had to go, but I walked and looked around.

I pointed at him to those walking towards me. The impression is so creepy, as if it's a nuclear explosion, and the wave has not yet reached and I wanted to run away and hide.

After 10 minutes, this dazzling dot went out and two clouds formed in its place - a large pink one under it - it was illuminated by the lights of the Azot Chemical Plant and the second one was greenish-blue high in the sky.

The object was located to the left of the highway, somewhere between Podberezye and Chudovo.

When I reached the station at five o'clock, I saw how these clouds in the oval of dawn began to turn gray and blur, following from west to east.

My versions:

1. Launch of a large rocket.

2. Descent from orbit of a high-power light source on a chemical basis (phosphorus-magnesium) with the complete burning of the object.
