Initial data
Sinitsyn Igor Lvovich writes to the Commission on the:
Perhaps I would never have dared to write to you, if it hadn't been for the article in "Trul" about t30.0I.85 g. It is called "Exactly at 4.I0".
Unfortunately, the article does not even indicate the approximate date of the incident that occurred with the TU-134A aircraft. However, I was struck by the fact that the described phenomenon coincided in daily time with what my brother and I had a chance to observe on the night of September 6-7 last, 1984.I will add, by the way, right away that geographically, the phenomenon that we observed does not coincide at all with what is described in the article.
And so, from 6 to 7 September last year, my brother and I went fishing in the area of the fortress "Oreshek", which is located at the place where the Neva flows out of Lake Ladoga. I name the date with such accuracy, because there was the only case when we were able to escape on a weekday - from Thursday to Friday. We settled down on the dam separating the Neva riverbed, and then the coast of Ladoga from the shipping channel, almost at its westernmost tip at the buoy house.
It was a wet, windy night. My brother and I were sitting with our backs to the "Nut", watching the donks thrown into the canal.
At 4.10 am, my brother suddenly called out to me, pointing to the sky. A little to the right of the "Nut" above the lake, we saw a bright bluish glow. In shape, it resembled, though very distantly, a cone tilted upside down.
We thought that, apparently, a rocket taking off should look like this in the dark: it is not visible itself, but only the flame from the nozzles is visible.Approximately at an altitude of 45 degrees above the horizon line, the "glowing drop" froze, and from it began to radiate again, so bright that one could read a newspaper, a glow of a greenish-bluish color. It turned out to be interesting that the glow did not spread along radii in all directions, but rather resembled an old street lamp in that the light spread along the sector with the top where the glowing drop stopped, i.e. there was no glow at the top.
After 5-7 minutes, the glowing drop disappeared, and the greenish glow that reached the ground remained and lasted until dawn. Disappeared completely before sunrise.
The above drawing, of course, is far from perfect, but it shows that the glow is indicated by a bold dot in the center of the dotted circle. On the dam there is a shaded quadrangle - the cabin of the buoys. A little to the left, about 30 meters - our parking lot.
If there is anything you can say about this nocturnal phenomenon, please let me know.
At the same time, two more young people observed the phenomenon with us,
the names of which can be determined, if necessary, by the boat rental log.
Hypotheses
Booster, the rocket and tracks
For UFOs often take stages of rockets, parts of space ships burning in the atmosphere, the launches of various missile technology for military purposes, etc., and traces from them. They attract attention mostly in the dark, but in the day time have a greater aura of mystery.
Formation of the track of the launch vehicle occurs in the tropopause (the layer between the troposphere and stratosphere), which sharply reduced the vertical temperature gradient. The emergence of the so-called "jellyfish" influenced by water vapor, which are subject to enhanced condensation.
