Yakovleva Valentina Sergeevna writes to the Commission on AYA:
February 14, 1985 at 22-40 (there may be a difference of 2-3 minutes) from the window of the house I saw a light circle in the sky. The windows of the house look to the south, the house is on the bank of the Msta river, behind the house is a field with half a kilometer, and there is a forest. I caught the moment when the circle was over the forest and for a moment disappeared towards the south. By area, this circle is 2 or even 3 times larger than the full moon of February. At the moment when I noticed this circle over the forest, it was light, but not very bright, and as soon as it left, there was a dark sky, there was a difference. Another woman, L.A. Bratolyubova, saw this phenomenon at the same time. Her house is about a kilometer from ours to the northwest, she noticed that this light circle was falling like a stone.
