Initial data
Tenth - graders of the Apatite school Muzurova L. and Bondarchuk L. write to the editor .:
We read an article in the newspaper "Trud" "Exactly at 4.10" and were struck by the similarity of the description of the phenomenon observed by the crew of the TU-134A aircraft and which we had to observe.
We report the details of our observation. We observed this phenomenon in December 1984, closer to the New Year (we find it difficult to tell the exact date).
At 8 o'clock in the morning, while waiting for the bus, we noticed a bright light in the sky, which moved horizontally, which attracted our attention. In front of him, a beam shone in the form of a searchlight. The light moved quite quickly, but was not very high, because it soon disappeared behind the houses, and after it there was a slightly visible ray, which then dissipated into a large pale purple cloud. But even when we observed the movement of the light, a zigzag strip appeared a little further away (approximately in the direction from which the light was moving), which became brighter and brighter, but did not change its shape. Then it turned bright orange. That's all I was able to observe that morning. We can add that we were not the only ones who saw this phenomenon.
Hypotheses
Booster, the rocket and tracks
For UFOs often take stages of rockets, parts of space ships burning in the atmosphere, the launches of various missile technology for military purposes, etc., and traces from them. They attract attention mostly in the dark, but in the day time have a greater aura of mystery.
Formation of the track of the launch vehicle occurs in the tropopause (the layer between the troposphere and stratosphere), which sharply reduced the vertical temperature gradient. The emergence of the so-called "jellyfish" influenced by water vapor, which are subject to enhanced condensation.
