We read your article in the newspaper "Trud" and decided to write to you about something similar.
15.12.84 about 21 hours we walked along the bank of the Vychegda river. And suddenly we were blinded by a bright flash of pale white color. Then we looked up. A dark orange comma-shaped tail was moving away from us to the northeast. Where it began, it was thin there, and at the end it was already expanding. The "tail" was lowered with the end to the ground.
A minute later, he disappeared instantly. It was already like day. But the flash was bright. It seemed to us of a small diameter.

Meteor
Meteor, "shooting star" is a phenomenon that occurs when small meteor bodies (for example, fragments of comets or asteroids) burn up in the Earth's atmosphere. A similar phenomenon of greater intensity (brighter than magnitude -4) it's called a fireball.
