A former US Air Force sergeant who witnessed the “Roswell Incident in the UK” claims that after he touched an "alien spaceship", a “message from the future” was implanted in his brain.
Jim Penniston was on duty at RAF Woodbridge in December 1980 when several unexplained lights were spotted in nearby Rendlesham Forest. Numerous security personnel saw the light, and at the height of the Cold War, security problems immediately arose.
“Staff Sergeant Jim Penniston was the duty flight director at Woodbridge,” explained podcaster Andrew Gentle. “He grabbed pilot Edward Kabansag and they headed to the east gate to get a clear picture of the situation.”
They thought the likely explanation was that a British Royal Air Force plane had made an emergency landing near Bentwaters, but they were puzzled by the lack of sound from the alleged crash. And they could not rule out the invasion of Soviet spies.
What the men found was completely different. Jim Penniston's notebook recorded the observation of an aircraft of “unknown origin”, on the outer skin of which strange hieroglyphs were enlarged. And there's something even stranger in his notebook.
Penniston described the device as "triangular" with blue, white and red lights, and the surface seemed "smooth". But next to his incredible description and sketches there were whole pages of zeros and ones that looked very much like binary code.
According to Andrew, Peniston said the code was “information uploaded to me from a UFO." He said he had no idea how this information got into his head.
“Jim was asked if it was binary, but he didn't know what it was," Andrew said. "So they sent the numbers to a computer expert to see if there was anything special about it.”
The expert wasn't informed what to expect, but his verdict was almost unbelievable. He said it was “a message from the future.”
The decoded “message" read:
“The exploration of humanity continues... uninterrupted for planetary advancement. The eyes of our eyes. Year of origin 8100.”
This encrypted message was followed by a list of coordinates of places around the world: Karakol in Brazil, Sedona in the US state of Arizona, the Great Pyramid of Giza, Mount Taishan in China, the mysterious Nazca lines in Peru, the Temple of Apollo in Greece and – most mysterious of all – an unremarkable stretch of sea west of Ireland, which is simply listed as “Place of origin".
This place roughly corresponds to the location of the island of “High Brazil”, a mythical island that currently does not exist, but has been marked on numerous ancient maps.
“All places in the binary code are known as highly spiritual places, but they are also called portals to other dimensions or to other planes of reality," Andrew continued. “Because of this, Jim Penniston does not believe that the Rendlesham UFO was extraterrestrial. He thinks it was us. He thinks it was a message from people from the 6,000-year-old future.”
The concept that UFOs are time machines, not spaceships, has become an increasingly popular theory in recent years. After serving 20 years in the US Air Force, Penniston wrote a series of books describing his encounters in the woods early on Boxing Day 42 years ago, but the mystery of what exactly happened remains unsolved.

Jim Penniston was on duty at RAF Woodbridge in December 1980 when a number of unexplained lights were seen in nearby Rendlesham Forest. Multiple service personnel saw the lights, and with the Cold War at its height there were immediate security concerns.
“Staff sergeant Jim Penniston was the on-duty flight Chief at Woodbridge,” explained podcaster Andrew Gentile. “He grabbed airman Edward Cabansag and they headed to the east gate to get a clear picture of the situation.”
