I. Turbachkin's report on the observation of an unusual phenomenon in the village. Yurino , Ivanovo region .
At 22 hours 10 m . September 13, 1985 Sergey Abakumov and I came to the potato field, where we usually played sports, stopped on the road (we were with our backs to the field) and they began to discuss where to start training. Suddenly (maybe it's just a coincidence) something made us turn to the field and we saw the following picture: approximately in the north, not far from the constellation Ursa Major at an angle of about 60 ° to the horizon, we saw a yellow spot the size of a five-kopeck coin (2 times smaller than the moon at the zenith). It descended to the ground with the speed of a slow-falling stone. The fall lasted for several seconds, during which time the spot dropped to about 10 km from the earth's surface (about 45 °). Then suddenly a large amount of flowing "gases" burst out of it, forming a glowing cone in which it was visible how these gases were swirling. As it seemed to us, the gases were escaping backwards and downwards, i.e. the cone was directed at an angle to the ground, in height it would spread by 2-3 km. It became light and everything was visible.
The object began to approach us quickly at an angle to the right, so I definitely can't draw this side view. For twenty seconds we looked at him, the "gases" continued to "escape". Then, after all, we decided to run away from this place, fearing to be poisoned (after all, we didn't know what it was).
We ran up to the building where our group was located. There we stopped and turned back towards the object.
In its place, the trace of its movement was clearly visible.
The object abruptly, at a right angle, went up and after about a minute, having risen to the previous height, disappeared. A dome-shaped nebula appeared at the site of the object's takeoff (apparently from gases,
flowing out of it), in the center of which there was a spot of green color with an apparent size twice the size of the moon.
Its contours were clear, its shape rounded. The nebula began to spread in all directions, covering the firmament. There were no stars in the sky, and only a green cloud shone at the site of the object's takeoff, which at first slightly increased in size, and then
it began to shift to the west.
In the process of slow displacement , its shape changed slightly - it was stretched by
the sides, and the brightness was falling.
About 23 hours . this phenomenon has ended, but the nebula still remained, and the brightness was falling. Five other people were eyewitnesses of the phenomenon.
