THE TESTIMONY OF Sergei Evgenievich Ivanov, the guard of the Foundry Bridge
On the night of May 14-15, 1981, at 1 h 30 min - 2 h 10 min, I saw an unusual phenomenon in the sky: to the right of the Finland station (1.5 - 2 m), I first saw a glowing dot with a halo or a ball that had symmetrical rays.
The balloon began to grow, move towards the bridge and rise. As the ball grew, the petals expanded. There was a tail behind the ball: it was white, like the trail of an airplane. The ball, gaining height, exploded, although the crown remained motionless, and the halo, increasing, disappeared. Then the dot moved again towards the Finnish railway station.
Her trail was straight, and at the moment of disappearance, the trail began to break, as it happens with a trace from an airplane.
The point was in a halo of symmetrical rays. The ball grew for 18 minutes .
