I read a note in "Labor" and I want to tell you about an incident related to UFOs. 4-5 years ago in the month of August. My family and I were on vacation in the Novgorod region (the village of Pokrovskoye, Chudyavsky district) on the Pchevzha River, which flows into the Volkhov River. It was Saturday around 10 p.m. suddenly, a 15-year-old daughter came running from the street with a girlfriend with the words "Dad, look what it is, some orange finger comes out from behind the forest." Indeed, from the northeast, due to the crest of the forest located 100 meters away with a slight slope to the right, something like a "finger" is growing upwards and gradually approaching in an arc. As we approached, a "pear-shaped head with a glowing dot in the center" began to form, Moving towards us at a high altitude of more than 10 thousand meters. The feeling is ambivalent because the huge size of the inversion trace of the pipe behind the pear-shaped head requires consciousness to reduce all this. As they approached, the glowing dot grew to a spot from each on 4 sides, cord-shaped "whiskers" were visible, which were superimposed on a pear-shaped head, already clearly representing the structure of the contrail of an ordinary jet aircraft located at an altitude of about 10 thousand meters. But the size of the head, according to my estimate, is a hundred meters, and the "pipe" inversion is half as small. The movement of the glowing spot occurred at a speed 2-3 times faster than a supersonic aircraft. As he approached, he went up and to the right for a "combat turn". with increasing speed and went into space at an angle of about 40-45 degrees. The movement was silent before and after. The turning radius at such speeds must be accompanied, apparently, by very high overloads. According to this, how the spot (disk) was flowing around, it can be assumed that it was "sucked" into the air, since there were practically no high-speed currents in the opposite direction in the inversion trace, but only small disturbances (frizziness).

After the departure of the object, an orange-colored trace remained, which gradually melted and was carried by the wind for an hour. At the least distance from us, when there was a rapid expansion of the size of the head, an unpleasant chill ran through us from something mysterious.

I sketched and described everything I saw and then sent it to the Pulkovo Observatory. A few days later, they called me and began to explain that I had seen something like an ordinary plane or rocket. Although it was necessary to immediately conduct a survey of the population along the route and try to put together a more complete picture. I think they might have kept this letter. In the late 50s, I was trained at a flight school and therefore tried to observe based on my flight experience.

It lasted no more than 2-3 minutes.
