An eyewitness born in 1929, who lived in Moscow, Malaya Dorogomilovskaya, 30 (at the moment the house is demolished):

In the autumn of 1938. I lived in a 2-storey house with a pre-revolutionary construction. All my friends were at school, and out of boredom I decided to climb into the attic.

Climbing up the wooden ladder and lifting the manhole cover, I saw a group of people sitting on the roof rafters, not far from the dormer window. They were dressed normally and were no different from ordinary people.

I was very scared when one of them got up and quickly walked straight towards me. I was scared that the eyes of this creature were unusually large (about 6 cm in diameter), and they glowed red, despite the fact that I saw it against the background of the dormer window.

Tumbling down, I ran home, huddled in a corner and didn't tell anyone about it for several days.
