The former chief of the court writes to the Commission on AYA. r \ art. BMP Pirogov S.P.:
I was on my way to Leningrad and was in the Baltic Sea (I don't remember the time and exact location on this ship I worked in 1966-1970) I had lunch in the mess hall, radio broadcasts of one of the Soviet r\art were transferred by the court. in the SV or DV range, the audibility was in the SV and DV range, the audibility was excellent and suddenly the transmission disappeared and there was only one "hiss" - as if someone had turned off the antenna. I ran to transuzel - but everything turned out to be fine there, however, the operation of any radio stations in the CB and DV bands was not detected, then I moved to the radio room, where three more radio receivers were turned off (each on its own antenna), but I also found no signs of ether in the range. SV and DV and only on shorter waves, starting from about 5-6 mchts and above, signs of ether broke through. It lasted maybe 10-20 minutes and then the "ether" suddenly appeared as if someone had turned it on.
I then reported this case to the BMP communications service in the appendix to my flight report.
I have never listened to any of my colleagues about such cases, and I have not encountered them myself either.
During the long work on the ships of the Far East and the Baltic, the radio operator had to feel various manifestations of the ether, including the influence of a magnetic anomaly, but he had never met with such a case.
