Initial data
From a letter to the Commission on:
I, Igor Alekseevich Pyadin, an electrician of the trolleybus department, on about September 22 (the day after payday), 1975, was at the car tower for about 4 hours with my partner Nikolai Dayasov (now works in the bus park as a best man) and with the driver Steering V. We were at the "Microdistrict" stop 300 m away from us, we worked at the car tower Abramov Yu.I. and Ilyin N.F.
Suddenly, we noticed a strange phenomenon in the southeast, on the horizon above Lake Onega beyond the Ivanovo Islands (6-7 km from the observation point to them).
It was a ball glowing with a reddish color, 3 times smaller than the Moon. At first there was nothing around him. Gradually, the ball began to grow, the glow became brighter, losing its reddish hue, becoming bright white and emitting curved rays and gradually diverging circles from the ball of a paler color.
The circles were thick and the farther away, the greater the distance between them.
The ball reached a size slightly smaller than the Moon. At the same time, the balloon was moving north. There were clouds in the north. We saw the balloon for 5 minutes, then it moved at an angle of 45 degrees, disappeared into the clouds silently. It was observed in cloud breaks for another 2 hours (we observed it before dawn, until about 6 o'clock) and ceased to be visible.
We didn't have any special mental states, except for great interest.
Addition: the rays were stationary, dim and blurred, but easily distinguished, luminous circles occupied about 40% of the sky. By the boundary of the circles, the rays ceased to differ, there was only a bright glow. It seemed that the object rose from the water near the Ivanovo Islands.
Hypotheses
Booster, the rocket and tracks
For UFOs often take stages of rockets, parts of space ships burning in the atmosphere, the launches of various missile technology for military purposes, etc., and traces from them. They attract attention mostly in the dark, but in the day time have a greater aura of mystery.
Formation of the track of the launch vehicle occurs in the tropopause (the layer between the troposphere and stratosphere), which sharply reduced the vertical temperature gradient. The emergence of the so-called "jellyfish" influenced by water vapor, which are subject to enhanced condensation.
