Initial data
From a letter to the Commission on:
Witnesses Norokha V.M., engineer of the radio factory and Lomonosov M., installer of the radio factory.
On October 17 of this year, at about 18 o'clock (more precisely at 17-57), while in the Transshipment area, on Zelenaya Street, we witnessed an interesting phenomenon. A bright luminous moving dot appeared in the sky in the CER area. By the brightness of its glow, it could be compared to a star. A tail of gas, darkish in color, trailed behind her. Moving about 3 minutes in the direction of the east and approximately parallel to the earth's surface, the object changed direction and began moving south, directly at us. At the same time, it became obvious that the object was surrounded by a bright halo and 4 rays radiated from it at right angles.
At 18-05, the object began to fade gradually, and then disappeared completely. There is no trace of him left. It was not possible to determine the distance to the object and its size.
Hypotheses
Booster, the rocket and tracks
For UFOs often take stages of rockets, parts of space ships burning in the atmosphere, the launches of various missile technology for military purposes, etc., and traces from them. They attract attention mostly in the dark, but in the day time have a greater aura of mystery.
Formation of the track of the launch vehicle occurs in the tropopause (the layer between the troposphere and stratosphere), which sharply reduced the vertical temperature gradient. The emergence of the so-called "jellyfish" influenced by water vapor, which are subject to enhanced condensation.
