The captain of the ore carrier "Box" Freytag told about some of the events that occurred during his last voyage to Brazil. Having loaded the ore in the Brazilian port of Tubarao on September 15, 1982, the "Boxa" sailed to Europe. On September 17, when the ship was near the equator, unusual events began.

Freytag tells us:

At 21.00, the officer on duty determined our exact location and, for verification, received the coordinates of the ship using a navigation satellite. The data matched. We were at the point of the ocean with coordinates of 11 degrees 37 minutes south latitude and 33 degrees 28 minutes west longitude, i.e. on the border of a 200-mile zone from the Brazilian coast. The sun rose and it became possible to observe the flying satellites, which looked like luminous dots. I was just about to talk about it when the officer who left the control room shouted: "I'm Vika's companion!"

But the glowing dot he pointed to had a greenish light visible from the side and I decided that it was probably a plane flying from South America to Africa. But a new cry rang out: "Look, there's another satellite nearby!"

Following this, we saw something that can serve as an addition to the many UFO sightings.

"UFOs in a strictly scientific sense are unidentified objects," Captain Freytag said. - We are far from believing in supernatural or extraterrestrial phenomena. We only regretted that there was no meteorologist or physicist on board at that time. For the phenomena were really so unusual that we could not find any explanation for them."

When Captain Freitag also left the control room to look at the satellites from the other side, he saw "something" the size of a full moon, which gradually faded. At the same time, a star suddenly appeared almost nearby, which shone and also increased to the size of a full moon, glowing with a greenish-blue light.

Then it faded and only the shimmering clouds remained.

Soon, a third "Moon" appeared in the same way, in the middle of which an explosion occurred, after which an orange light appeared from its center, which covered the entire surface of the "Moon" for several minutes. And finally, the whole phenomenon was surrounded by a halo similar to the rings of Saturn, after which it also began to fade.

At that moment, Freytag, who came to his senses from amazement, called the sailors, 14 people who were in the club went on deck, and the captain's dog brought a camera and the ship's doctor and the boatswain took pictures.

Meanwhile, the fourth "star" appeared, which passed the same bases as the third, but had a vertical halo. And suddenly, this "star" began to increase rapidly, and it was not visible that it would deviate in any direction. It seemed that some kind of celestial body was rapidly diving straight at the ship.

Soon it reached the size of a giant solar disk. The team got scared and began to hide behind the door, and the dog howled and barked. Captain Freitag recalled how a few years ago a warning was sent to all ships that an American spacecraft was supposed to fall into the water in this area and entered the control room.

And the phenomenon had stopped and was now sparkling with all the colors of the rainbow, surrounded by a shimmering radiance. Then it gradually began to fade and only phosphorescent clouds remained.

"The same thing happened with the fifth phenomenon," Captain Freitag said. - At the same time, I must emphasize that the whole event took place completely silently and no thermal effect was felt. Only the Geiger counter, which I later took out on deck, showed slightly increased radiation. There were 5 X-rays in the ship's rooms and the crew members who stayed inside, 14 people who observed the phenomenon from the outside had 6 X-rays and 7 X-rays on the outer walls of the ship. But are such radiation values much less dangerous?

After the disappearance of these phenomena, luminous clouds were observed for about half an hour and it was light around the ship as if it were a full moon.

The next day, September 18, the crew of the English ship Tonchbani, following

from South Africa to Bermuda, at the same time, I observed 7 similar phenomena. The captain of this vessel, Jorhanson, contacted Freytag by radio and asked for an explanation from the coast guard, but she did not give any response.

In early December, the "Box" will be back in Constance and Captain Freytag promised to bring the developed film on which these unusual phenomena were filmed.
