A report on the observation of an unusual object by Gubenko A.V. in Tashkent, Uz.SSR.
On July 23, 1976, I witnessed a flyby in the atmosphere of an unknown object. I was in my room that evening. The clock showed 21-10 -21-15 local time, when my wife called me. I ran out onto the balcony and saw a flying bunk against the background of the twilight sky, which shone brightly in white (like a fluorescent lamp). It flew out from behind a nearby 9-storey building. The glow was quite bright, there was a strong halo of the same color around the ball. The object was perceived as a large luminous material body.
From the bow of the ball, they moved obliquely up and down (in the direction opposite to the direction of movement) two "whiskers", forming an internal angle of 120-150 ° between each other and creating a feeling of a luminous shock wave that moves in front of the body. From the outside, the "whiskers" were mated in a smooth arc. Their thickness gradually decreased towards the ends, and the lower "mustache" was hidden behind the horizon line (roofs of houses), and the upper one went to the zenith. In general, the glow of the "whiskers" was paler, but their brightness varied in length, remaining constant throughout the huge arc. The apparent size of the ball was about a quarter of the diameter of the full moon at the zenith. It seemed to me that the object was flying strictly horizontally from left to right. The apparent speed of movement was commensurate with the flight of an aircraft flying at an altitude of about 5 km at a speed of 600-700 km per hour.
I quickly returned to the room for the Zenit camera and found myself on the balcony again. By this time, the brightness of the object decreased, and the "whiskers" faded, the speed decreased and they were almost invisible.
The object seemed to dissolve, almost extinguishing the speed (for the observer). There was an assumption about leaving the atmosphere. I managed to take 8 pictures with a shutter speed of 102 minutes.
I did not hear any sounds, I did not experience any unpleasant sensations. There was a feeling of surprise. The thought flashed about the fall of a celestial body, because that evening, 20-30 minutes before the described event, I heard a message on the radio about the launch of a launch vehicle and the launch time quite accurately coincides with the moment of my observation (within half an hour).
I have not encountered such phenomena in the past, but after the event described above, I witnessed an unusual phenomenon twice more. I pay special attention to the fact that there is a clear correspondence between the image on the negative and visual observation.
The photo shows an area of bright glow that was not visually observed. The zigzag plume in the photo, which resembles an inversion trail, does not correspond to the visually observed horizontal flight path of the object. In addition, the eye did not perceive the area of luminescence in the sequentially viewed images, which changed its intensity, which apparently indicates the pulsating nature of the radiation.
The object was observed from the balcony of the 5th floor facing northwest.
Hypotheses
Booster, the rocket and tracks
For UFOs often take stages of rockets, parts of space ships burning in the atmosphere, the launches of various missile technology for military purposes, etc., and traces from them. They attract attention mostly in the dark, but in the day time have a greater aura of mystery.
Formation of the track of the launch vehicle occurs in the tropopause (the layer between the troposphere and stratosphere), which sharply reduced the vertical temperature gradient. The emergence of the so-called "jellyfish" influenced by water vapor, which are subject to enhanced condensation.
