Initial data
From a letter to the Commission on Anomalous Phenomena:
On August 3, 1990, in the area of the Moscow Sea, Novozavidovo station, Tver region, at about 23.45-2350, an object of a strange shape appeared.
I did not observe his movement from the very beginning of his appearance, through binoculars, for about three minutes, before he disappeared. The object was moving from west to east, before disappearing turned to the northeast. It represented a bright point from which a clearly limited blue-white beam of light resembled an airship diverged in the opposite direction of movement. This stream of light illuminated a zigzag trail, similar to an inversion, which at first glowed blue-white, then, as the object receded and disappeared, it turned reddish in color and dissolved after 30 minutes.
The whole sky was clear that night, there was not even a haze. If it was an airplane, then the side lights would be visible. The routes of the GWF spans are located much to the north and south of our village.
The track, similar to an inversion, began abruptly and ended abruptly, at sharp angles. The object's flight path was at an altitude of
45-50 degrees, and horizontally from 0 to 45 degrees from the observation point. I managed to measure it by compass. There are still witnesses of this phenomenon in the village.
Hypotheses
Booster, the rocket and tracks
For UFOs often take stages of rockets, parts of space ships burning in the atmosphere, the launches of various missile technology for military purposes, etc., and traces from them. They attract attention mostly in the dark, but in the day time have a greater aura of mystery.
Formation of the track of the launch vehicle occurs in the tropopause (the layer between the troposphere and stratosphere), which sharply reduced the vertical temperature gradient. The emergence of the so-called "jellyfish" influenced by water vapor, which are subject to enhanced condensation.
