BATURIN EVRINY PROKHOROVICH informs the Commission on:
On the night of May 14-15, at 01:05 a.m., I observed an unusual phenomenon at night. I was at 34 Kominterna Street (Pushkin). From the direction of Kolpin, an ardent, luminous body appeared in the sky, rising to the zenith. As it seemed to me, it was moving towards Pushkin. About 3-4 minutes. The bright light from the glowing body spread in wide bands to the horizon in the direction of Kolpino. After that, the luminous body changed direction, but not abruptly, towards Leningrad (from the point of my observation) and gradually disappeared. The streaks of bright light remained for a long time.
Already at about 5:00 a.m., I again drew attention to the firmament, where, as it seemed to me, a comet flew by at night. There was a not very thick, blurred cloud in the sky, stretching along the entire route of the body's movement.

Booster, the rocket and tracks
For UFOs often take stages of rockets, parts of space ships burning in the atmosphere, the launches of various missile technology for military purposes, etc., and traces from them. They attract attention mostly in the dark, but in the day time have a greater aura of mystery.
Formation of the track of the launch vehicle occurs in the tropopause (the layer between the troposphere and stratosphere), which sharply reduced the vertical temperature gradient. The emergence of the so-called "jellyfish" influenced by water vapor, which are subject to enhanced condensation.
