Initial data
SIVKOVA ALEXANDRA ALEXANDROVNA
the city of Leningrad.
On September 20, 1977, at 4:5-7 a.m., I observed a golden yellow body with a clear outline, a circle in cross section. The body did not seem like a red-hot ball; the size of the body was about a large orange.
At first, the body seemed motionless and jets "flowed" from it, which flowed smoothly and intertwined. The contours of the body together with the jets resembled an "umbrella" or a "skirt".
Then, looking closer, I saw that the body was moving very slowly, as if it were floating across the sky, and the "skirt" was not moving.
The body disappeared over the horizon. This movement was directed to the north-northeast or north. The time for observing body movement is about 5 minutes.
When the body disappeared over the horizon, I again drew attention to the "skirt". A hole with a fuzzy contour was observed in the "skirt", about 3 times larger than the body (in diameter).
The central part of the hole was clear, and the sky and some stars were observed.
Gradually, the "skirt" dissolved.
The height of the body above the horizon is about 5-7 degrees. The azimuth of the beginning is about 5-10 degrees, the end is 0-5 degrees.
Hypotheses
Booster, the rocket and tracks
For UFOs often take stages of rockets, parts of space ships burning in the atmosphere, the launches of various missile technology for military purposes, etc., and traces from them. They attract attention mostly in the dark, but in the day time have a greater aura of mystery.
Formation of the track of the launch vehicle occurs in the tropopause (the layer between the troposphere and stratosphere), which sharply reduced the vertical temperature gradient. The emergence of the so-called "jellyfish" influenced by water vapor, which are subject to enhanced condensation.
