An article "Atmospheric anomalies" was published in the city newspaper, in which the author asks eyewitnesses of such phenomena to write to you.

I have long been interested in anomalies in the atmosphere, or as I used to call them - UFOs. Quite a few hypotheses have been published explaining the physics of these phenomena, among them chemiluminescence. There are optimists who tell the artificiality of UFOs. Personally, I don't think it's a chemiluminescence.

Now about the main thing. I had a chance to personally observe UFOs in the sky, north of the city of Kimry from a distance of about 15-20 km.

This phenomenon could be observed from 7:20 a.m. to 7:50 a.m.

On the morning of December 27, Saturday, 1980.

I started observing only from 7.35, and what happened from the very beginning was told to me by one of my friends, who also observed this phenomenon from 7.20 to 7.30. What happened from 7.30 to 7.35 is unknown.

So, at 7.20 am, an object in the shape of a disk with a dome on top began to rise from the ground into the sky from behind the forest outside the city. The left side of the disk was green-blue, the right side was dark red. The dome was white. A "column" of light stretched from the bottom of the disk to the ground. It seemed as if the "mushroom" was growing on a leg. The thickness of the "pillar of light" was four times smaller than the diameter of the disk. From the periphery of the disk, at an angle of 45° from the vertical, downwards, rays similar to the sun were directed, making their way through windows among clouds that reached the surface of the Earth.

I note that the weather that morning was wet, but the clouds were not strong.

The object rose to the cloud, which appeared about above it for 7 minutes. When a short distance remained to the object, a lot of small black objects, similar to a comma, suddenly appeared above the dome of the disk. In this form, the disk broke through the cloud, leaving behind a washout glowing white at the edges. Next, the disk is behind the cloud

It was not visible, only a luminous column from its center stretched through the washout to the Ground.

And the side rays, penetrating the cloud, also reached the Ground itself.

Soon the side rays began to fade smoothly, followed by the central one. It was 7:30 a.m.

I didn't see anything else, because I went into the house worried.

At 7.35 a.m., I saw a bright point hovering above the cloud, from which a luminous "ray" was directed down at an angle of 30 ° in an inclination from the vertical, which pierced the cloud and passing a little below it abruptly ended, as if clipped from below.

Moreover, the paraboloid, and not the conical propagation of the "ray" immediately attracted attention. "Arcs" were observed on the sides of the "ray", repeating its curves. On the same axis with the paraboloid ray, between it and the Earth, there was an object in the form of an ellipse of green-blue color with clearly defined edges.

It was not transparent, because it covered the clouds in the sky. After 20 seconds, the bright dot suddenly disappeared. At the same time, the arcs repeating the bends of the "ray" disappeared. The "ray" did not disappear. It turned white and began to shift away from the cloud, changing shape and breaking up into separate "pieces". These "pieces", in turn, began to disintegrate into luminous dust (very similar to the scattering of soap foam over the clear surface of water).

The ellipsoid did not change its position for 4-5 minutes, after which its edges began to blur, it stretched along its axis and slowly, within 10 minutes, went out.

It should be noted that even a very bright luminous dot did not illuminate the space around it. The diameter of the disk was approximately I.5 lunar, as we see it from Earth. There was no interference or interruptions in radio transmissions. Sound effects too.
