And now I'm free. I work at a school, and for the autumn holidays I organized a hike in Western Ukraine. It was in 1985 or 1986. 30 kilometers from Kamianets-Podolsky there is a village Zavalye, 7-8 kilometers from it, there are ruins of a Turkish (or Polish?) on the mountain fortresses. 15th century. A small border fortress, I've been wanting to spend the night in it for a long time. One. They spread out a tent, a sleeping bag in it, and another one. Sleet was falling, it was blowing into the niche where I was, but nothing, it was pretty cozy. I woke up at night and it was 2 o'clock again.
A door slammed in the tower, someone came out, walked along the wall, and went through a gap in the wall into the field. He didn't come back. Just in case, I got out, went there, to the break in the bathhouse - no one and nothing. However, I could not do this, but continue to sleep in a warm sleeping bag. The wooden door in the tower could only have been before 1941. The Poles had a border post in the fortress until 1939, they had roofs on turrets, doors and windows. In 1941, the Germans bombed the fortress, everything wooden burned down.
