I want to bring to your attention about the phenomenon that we observed in the Pärnus district of the SSR.
On Thursday, 09/19/84, driving in the evening about 12 o'clock along the Haapsalu-Pärnu highway closer to the city of Pärnu, we noticed a slight glow from the car window to our left in the forest area.
We stopped the car and the first thought was that it was a street lighting lamp. But it was in the forest!? The three of us got out of the car and walked closer, but realized that it was very far from us.
There was a glowing ball in the area of the forest, from which a circular, not exactly smoke, but light descended.
The balloon was observed for about 5 minutes, the balloon gradually rose higher, while decreasing. He soon disappeared. All that was left of him was a light triangle.
A little later, a blue-green cloud appeared under the light. After about 10 minutes, the light disappeared. However, this blue-green cloud remained against the background of the forest for quite a long time.
We watched it for about half an hour while driving home to Parna. The glowing object was quite far away from us, at first we thought it was connected with the airfield, later we became convinced that it was something completely different.
The light ball was peculiar, it looked like a ball cut in half. Its upper part was not visible, and the light coming down from it was circular.
We looked at the clock at that moment, when the hemisphere disappeared, it was at 22:10.
The size of the hemisphere was initially about 15 cm. Later, it shrank to the size of stars and then disappeared.
I met many people in the city who told me about this phenomenon. But no one has been able to explain the essence of the phenomenon.
