On the night of June 14-15, 1980 at 23-50, I boarded bus No. 165 at the Leipzig store, heading to the Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station. There were 8-10 people on the bus, everyone was sitting at the windows. At the moment of turning onto the highway passing through the forest belt, between the crowns of trees in the direction of Moscow, I clearly observed a bright red glow, or rather orange-red, like a sunset. That's what I thought at the beginning. However, the next moment it seemed strange to me that the Sun had not yet set over the horizon and that its sunset was observed in the north.

The bus continued to rapidly approach Vnukovo highway. When leaving the highway, I noticed that there were several cars parked there and people watching the sky around them.

In our bus, the "night etiquette" was instantly violated and the "fraternization of earthlings" began. Everyone began to react loudly, asking each other - what could be the meaning of what we were observing in the sky at that moment?

To the left of the visible spire of the Moscow State University was a ridge of pink-red clouds (the weather was very good, the stars were perfectly visible and there were no clouds at all in other areas of the sky).

The clouds radiated light, glowed by themselves so intensely, as if powerful floodlights were aimed at them from all sides. They were located about 30 degrees above the horizon. from the ridge of these clouds, a flying bright object (head) was moving to the right, from which rays radiated up and down, representing a sharp border of dark sky and glowing reddish, then turning into completely red and even more intensely luminous clouds. It seemed that both the head and the light rays radiating from it were something unified. This impression was enhanced by the perfect synchronicity of their movements. the angular displacement of the head along the horizon from left to right determined the movement of both arcs along their entire front. However, this feeling seemed to be exclusively of the head and arcs. As for the red clouds, on the contrary, they were deliberately convex and very very relief.

If we assume that the observation was not flat, but three-dimensional, then the steometry of the head and arcs can be compared or likened to the dome of an umbrella oriented with a handle parallel to the horizon line. The entire sphere was streaming reddish light (or gas) inside itself. The head and sphere noticeably, but not very quickly, shifted to the right of the red clouds. The object did not leave an inversion trace capable of generating clouds at that moment. He seemed to separate from the pile of clouds and moved away from it to the right and moved much higher and to the right.

The red clouds stayed in the sky for a very long time. they were located at an altitude of 25-30 degrees above the horizon, and the flight of the head took place at the same height. clouds, on the other hand, remained the object of our attention and, judging by their location, if based on the fact that they are the product of an object, it could be judged that its trajectory was intricate and following it, it underwent some changes.

I got off the subway at the University station and, while waiting for the bus, looked at the sky, but I did not observe any abnormal phenomena.

After 20-30 minutes, driving up to Matveevskaya, I suddenly saw a trace formation again. Before my eyes, clouds formed in the sky again. I had no doubt about the identity of what I saw now with what I observed recently. I showed it to a neighbor. he was surprised and cursed obscenely, legitimized his solidarity. I immediately went out and went up to the nearest high-rise building. I woke my wife up, but she didn't show any enthusiasm.

This time, a bluish and slightly less intensely luminous (than the red ones before) cloud was the only thing that could be seen. for a very long time I did not take my eyes off him until 2-45, until I fell asleep myself.
