The Commission is informed by Corporal Petrov Yu.F., Masolov V.I. and Rybalko S.A.:
Being on the territory of the airfield, we saw at 23-55 a not bright glow over the edge of the forest. The color of the glow is yellow-red, there was no smoke, no sound was heard.
The glow began to rise, and a pillar began to stretch from the horizon. A rare luminous spiral of 3-4 turns was visible in it, at the beginning of which a luminous dot was observed. A cloud in the form of a white ellipse swelled behind the point.
For some time it moved along with the head part, almost horizontally, with a slight rise. Then the separation and removal of the object from the cloud looked like a small piece of flame.
The glowing spot remained until dawn.

For UFOs often take stages of rockets, parts of space ships burning in the atmosphere, the launches of various missile technology for military purposes, etc., and traces from them. They attract attention mostly in the dark, but in the day time have a greater aura of mystery.
Formation of the track of the launch vehicle occurs in the tropopause (the layer between the troposphere and stratosphere), which sharply reduced the vertical temperature gradient. The emergence of the so-called "jellyfish" influenced by water vapor, which are subject to enhanced condensation.
