It was in winter. At least it was already snowing and it was dark.

(All dates and times are given very approximately, because over the years they have already disappeared from my head, but I see the picture of what was happening very well, in color, because I have a good visual memory.)

I was walking to the bus stop located in the very center of the city,

at the sea station to go to Tsiglomen (it's about like Pushkin

near Leningrad). I don't remember what I was doing in the center of Arkhangelsk. Maybe I went to the cinema or shopping, then it could have been 20 hours. But for some reason I remember that it was later, 22-23 hours.

It was dark, but there were a lot of people at the tram stop located near the building of the Northern Shipping Company, through which I had to pass. And I noticed that for some reason they were all looking up. I also raised my head up and that's what I saw.

A big one was floating across the black sky (I don't remember the stars). A yellowish light star, the size, I think, of 2-2.5 morning Venus. She was swimming, as I thought,

from the side of Mirny, therefore, he connected everything that was happening with the launch of a rocket and the Withdrawal of a PPE (another "Space").

As it moved, the "star" left

behind it is a luminous, translucent, green trail, as wide as the disk of the Moon. In front of the "star", the track protruded in a semicircle forward. I.e., the "star" was not on the tip of the track.

All this was happening right above your head, i.e. if you mentally draw

across the sky, the line dividing it into two equal parts - the "star" floated

according to her.

Then she passed the zenith and sailed on, as it seemed to me, 10 degrees (or maybe 5), where she stopped. At the same time, the green spot around the "star" began to blur. It was like running an ink pen over a blotter. While you're driving, the line is thin, you stopped - a blot spreads out.

At that time, I thought it was the fumes of fuel in the upper atmosphere that were glowing. Then the "star" turned "nozzles down." That's exactly the wording that came to my mind at the time.

At this height, of course, no details were visible. But it seemed that "the star hovered and turned downwards with nozzles." At least the 90-degree rotation of the "star" was noticeable.

After that, a cone burst down from the "star". It was white, translucent

like the contrail of an airplane. With absolutely smooth, as if drawn on a ruler, side edges, and a ragged, indistinct bottom.

I don't remember how it came about. Whether I crawled slowly out of the "star", or appeared immediately, along the entire length, perhaps I was distracted for a second then.

After that, the "star" went up, decreasing, and the cone disappeared instantly as the light was turned off. In my opinion, the cone disappeared first, and then, decreasing, the star disappeared (went up). That's actually all.

In place of the "star" there was a slowly spreading greenish "blob" and

a greenish trail, stretching towards this "blob".

The entire observation time was 7-10 minutes. I noticed the "star" when it was flying up to the zenith, about 5 degrees. A greenish trail stretched towards Mirny.

No more than 1.5 minutes have passed since the hovering of the "star", the appearance of the "inversion cone", its disappearance and the flight of the "star".

I went to the bus and drove to Tsiglomen. In the evening, about an hour and a half later, the green trail was still hanging in the sky, blurring and slowly leaning towards the horizon.

I cannot specify the exact year and month when all this happened. It was snowing. Most likely it was the winter of 83-84, the month of November?, February? I do not remember.

There don't seem to be any records left. I worked as the head of the radio station in the shipping company.
