Initial data
Three eyewitnesses. Near Oktyabrsky.
The so-called "October pits". They were formed on the night of April 19-20, 1961 near the city of Oktyabrsky. The first is 5 km west of the city, the second is 3 km southwest of the first. Two eyewitnesses saw white clouds in places where pits were then formed, the third saw a red ball with a diameter of about 150 arc minutes. The first pit was excavated by Zolotov, the second was preserved. The profile of the pit is visible in the drawing. a layer of soot with a density of about 5-10 mg / cm square was found on its walls. adsorbed radioactive elements from evaporated rock (sand and clay).
The "shot glass" is presumably a transitional process during the "jump" of the working fluid drilling the rock from a layer of sand to a layer of clay.
