Initial data
A few years ago, while in the Sargasso Sea, I witnessed the strange behavior of a ship at first glance.
In the early sunny morning, in calm weather, the ship suddenly began to sink into the waters of the ocean, maintaining its progress. Having plunged to a depth of about 3.5-4.0 m, it gradually reached its draft.
Analyzing this case, I tried to find analogues in our familiar environment, and found many examples explaining the strangeness of the ship's behavior. What happened
the reason for the sudden and rapid sinking of the vessel? No external changes were observed either in the atmosphere or in the ocean, the hull of the vessel was not damaged, which excluded the possibility of water penetration into the interior of the vessel, on the contrary, every day as fuel reserves, drinking and washing water were consumed, the vessel became "lighter", the engine operation mode did not change.
The only thing that can be assumed (and I am convinced of this) is that the ship entered a zone of low water density.
How did this zone come about? This remains a mystery for now. But this explains the reason for the disappearance of ships in the waters of the World Ocean, which Lawrence D. Kush talks a lot about in his book "The Bermuda Triangle: Myths and Reality".
