Initial data
An Air Force officer was driving in a car and saw a similar object in the sky (as in #1718182777):
It was hemispherical in shape. What at first appeared to be a jet jet of purple-red color turned out to be a glowing cone located under the object and giving the impression that a UFO was rising in flames. The object rose higher into the sky and turned its entire plane towards the witness. Now it was round and dark, with a luminous ring, and resembled a sunflower with yellow petals. It lasted for several seconds, then the UFO turned around again, rose into the sky and disappeared.
At its closest point, its diameter was about 15 arcminutes. The witness was traveling in a car at 55 miles per hour. There was no noise. When the object accelerated, the light became 3 times smaller, lost brightness and acquired a bluish-yellowish color.
He stopped the car and listened, but heard nothing. The object was moving to the north-northwest. He stayed in sight for 30 seconds, then disappeared.
The witness also described a large glowing cone.
Hypotheses
Booster, the rocket and tracks
For UFOs often take stages of rockets, parts of space ships burning in the atmosphere, the launches of various missile technology for military purposes, etc., and traces from them. They attract attention mostly in the dark, but in the day time have a greater aura of mystery.
Formation of the track of the launch vehicle occurs in the tropopause (the layer between the troposphere and stratosphere), which sharply reduced the vertical temperature gradient. The emergence of the so-called "jellyfish" influenced by water vapor, which are subject to enhanced condensation.
