An oval-shaped disk was observed hanging low/motionless in the air.
Last night, around 12:30, I opened the sliding doors of our kitchen to smoke my last cigarette. Right above the end of the neighbor's house, my gaze fell on a blue ring of lights in the distance. The distance is difficult to estimate, perhaps from one and a half to a kilometer from me.
At first it looked like some kind of plastic ring with blue flashing lights (something like Christmas/holiday lights), when I looked closer, the ring seemed to rotate on its axis, and I also saw that red lights were flashing occasionally.
The object then seemed to glow, revealing a white/metallic oval at both the top and bottom of the glowing ring.
After that, I called my girlfriend to come take a look; "Look at this", when she got up to go to the sliding doors, the object suddenly flashed [like a flash of lightning] and seemed to dissolve into nothing [as if the object was being sucked somewhere]. I've seen unexplained glowing balls before, but never as sharp and bright as yesterday's "spaceship".
It seemed almost surreal, as if it wasn't the real thing/movie I was watching, the hairs on my neck and arms literally stood on end from this strange incident.

HIJKEN, DR — Omstreeks 00.30 gisteravond deed ik de schuifpui van onze keuken open om een laatste sigaretje te roken, vlakboven de nok van het huis van de achterburen viel mijn oog op een lichtblauwe ring van lichtjes in de verte. Afstand moeilijk in te schatten, mogelijk een halve- tot een kilometer afstand bij mij vandaan. In de eerste instantie leek het op een soort van plastic ring met lichtblauwe knipperende lampjes erin [soort van kerst/ feestverlichting] toen ik goed keek leek de ring om zijn as te roteren en zag ik ook dat er af en toe iets op wat rode lichtjes knipperden. Het object leek daarna op te lichten waardoor zowel aan de boven als onderzijde van de lichtgevende ring een witte/metallic ovaalvorm zichtbaar werd. Hierna riep ik mijn vriendin om te komen kijken; “moet je dit eens zien”, toen zij opstond om naar de de schuifpui te lopen flitste het object plotseling [als een bliksemflits] en leek het in het niets op te lossen [alsof het object ergens werd ingezogen]. Ik heb wel vaker onverklaarbare lichtgevende bollen waargenomen, maar zo scherp en helder als het ‘spaceship’ van gisteren nog nooit. Het leek bijna surrealistisch alsof het niet echt/een film was waar ik naar keek, de haren in mijn nek en armen stonden letterlijk omhoog naar dit bizarre voorval.
