"They came from another space" (orig. They Came from Beyond Space is a British science fiction film released in 1967.

The screenplay was written by Milton Subotsky based on the novel "Gods hate Kansas"by Joseph Millard. To reduce production costs, the film used sets and props left over from the filming of another science fiction film, the Dalek Invasion of Earth in 2150 (orig. "Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D."). Most of the street snows were built on Cookham high street in Cookham, Berkshire, UK.

In Cornwall, several meteorites fall, forming an unusual V-shaped shape on the ground. A team of scientists is being sent to the scene to investigate the incident. The head of the group, Dr. Curtis Temple, is forbidden by the doctor to go. Curtis is recovering from a car accident that left a silver plate embedded in his skull. He assigns the leadership of the group to Dr. Lee Mason, his colleague and lover.

Arriving at the site, scientists discover that the meteorites have an unusual shape and color: they are blue and quite sharp. Meteorites are a receptacle for aliens that exist in the form of pure energy. As soon as the geologist hits the meteorite, trying to break off a piece of it for research, it emits a blinding flash of light and makes a piercing sound. At this point, the aliens take over the bodies and subdue the minds of scientists.

Concerned that Lee's only way to get in touch was to request millions of pounds ' worth of equipment and weapons, Curtis decides to defy the doctor's orders and visit the scene on his own. Before temple leaves, a fellow scientist determines that the meteorites came from the moon.

Curtis discovers that the vicinity of the meteorite impact site resembles a protected military base, surrounded by an electric fence with a voltage of 10,000 volts. Lee Mason, who met him at the checkpoint, forbids him to enter the base.

Temple meets an internal security agent who is observing the scientists ' strange behavior. He can't give Curtis a full report on the situation without permission from his superiors. The agent enters a phone booth to make a call, but is suddenly covered in red spots, falls to the ground, and dies. A crowd gathers around. The doctor steps forward, but when he touches the agent's body, he also dies. The infection is spreading rapidly, every person nearby is infected. The press calls the unknown disease "the crimson plague". A TV commentator tells viewers that the cause of the disease has not been determined and no treatment has yet been found, but authorities have already developed a secret method to safely dispose of the victims ' bodies.

After watching the rocket launch at night from the meteorite site, Curtis decides to prevent the next launch. The next day, he returns with a sniper rifle and destroys the generator that supplies the camp with electricity. Temple climbs over the disabled electric fence and enters the base.

At the alien headquarters, Curtis, who is a master of hand-to-hand combat, defeats one of them in a fierce battle. He descends into a huge underground complex, where he finds the frozen bodies of victims of the "crimson plague". Curtis is discovered and locked in a cell, but soon escapes and kidnaps Lee, knocking Her out with a punch to the jaw.

Curtis takes Lee to his friend Farge's house. He guesses that the silver plate in his head is somehow preventing the aliens from influencing his mind. He convinces Farge to melt the silver cups he received for playing cricket and make a colander-like protective helmet.

Farge uses ultraviolet light to expel the alien from Lee's mind. Unfortunately, she doesn't remember anything about the time spent under the alien's control. But she can pretend that she is still subject to the aliens. Curtis and Farge hide in the backseat of her car, and the three of them drive to the alien base. The heads of Farge and Lee are protected by silver helmets.

The three of them hide in the rocket right before the launch. Soon after take-off, they discover themselves and upon arrival appear before the Lord of the moon. He reveals that the government's secret plan to dispose of the bodies of victims of the disease is to send them to the moon.

The master explains to Curtis, Lee, and Farge that the aliens are pure energy beings. They use people as labor to repair a spaceship that crashed on the moon. The aliens want to return to their home planet to die there, as they are old and tired from years of interstellar travel. Frozen body found that Curtis, in fact, not dead. The master assures them that after the repair of the spacecraft is completed, all the "victims"will return to normal.

The aliens prepare to surgically remove Curtis ' silver plate in order to be able to use his knowledge. Farge leads a workers ' revolt and saves Curtis.

Curtis tells the Lord of the moon that they didn't need to try to conquer Earth. All they had to do was ask for help, and it would be provided. After this revelation, the eyes of the Lord are filled with tears.

Phenomena in artwork: UFO

Alien entities arrive on Earth in meteorites sent from the moon. They fly in the sky in a wedge, making a loud whistling sound, then fall to the ground with a crash and shock wave. After landing, meteorites also form a V-shaped shape.

Phenomena in artwork: The Alien

Alien entities are pure minds without a physical shell, visible as a transparent ball of bluish color hanging in the air. Once they lived on a distant planet, until they got rid of their bodies in the process of development. After that, they went to travel in a spaceship that crashed on the moon many years later. Tired of long journeys, the aliens want to go to their home planet, but for this they need workers who can fix their spaceship.

Several aliens arrive on earth in meteorites and inhabit the bodies of scientists, completely controlling their minds. It turns out that the silver screen on the head is able to prevent a person from submitting to the will of an alien. You can remove an alien from a person using a special device,or the alien can do it on its own. The liberated person does not retain any memories of thoughts and actions during the period of enslavement.

On the farm, where meteorites landed, captured by aliens, people equip an underground base. The aliens send a disease on people that causes a small bloody rash, the victims of which seem to be dead. The aliens freeze their bodies and send them to the moon as labor to repair the spacecraft. A ship carrying people to the moon is launched from a lake near a farmer's house. It looks like an ordinary rocket, but it moves at a great speed and manages to get back in a day.
