All in chromophoric dissolved organic elements that contains carbon. They are in the water and give it a certain color.
Russian biologists and chemists have studied the Karelian lakes and found out why lit their water. The obtained results will benefit scientists, as fit for the assessment of the ecology of fresh water. It turned out, chromophoric organic substances contain carbon, high concentration which gives the water a rich brown color. This happens due to the industrial factories, the excess production of which fall into the lake.
The above-mentioned compounds distort the spectrum of water, because in the end, the effects of UV rays, some of them glow, or in scientific language: fluoresce. A particularly significant content of harmful elements located in the Water of lake is two times higher than in the other. In the Onega lake, the scientists found only two organic compounds.
