SpaceX's Falcon 9 launch vehicle with a Dragon spacecraft has launched to the International Space Station, where it will deliver a crew of four astronauts for a six-month mission. For the first time, the ship carries representatives of three world space agencies to the station, and for the first time, two Dragon Ships will dock to the ISS.
The launch was made from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. From there, last year, the same Dragon made its historic first launch with astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken on board.
Scheduled for April 21, the launch was postponed due to bad weather. On Friday (April 23), the rocket took off strictly on schedule - at 10: 49 London time (12: 49 Moscow time).
Once the crewed Dragon is launched into orbit, the first stage of the Falcon 9 will land on an automated platform called Of course I still love you ("Of course I still love you") in the Atlantic Ocean. This will be the fourth use of the rocket.
