Indian Space Research Organization (Indian Space & The Research Organization (ISRO) has scheduled the launch of the PSLV C-52 satellite for observing the Earth's surface on February 14. It will be the first spacecraft launched in India in 2022, the Hindu newspaper reported on Wednesday.
The launch of the satellite is to take place from the launch pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Center on the island of Sriharikota in the Bay of Bengal.
PSLV C-52 with a starting weight of 1,170 kg will be launched into a sun-synchronous polar orbit with a height of 529 km. The satellite is designed for radar survey and transmission of high-quality images of the Earth's surface in the interests of the Indian Ministry of Agriculture.
The rocket was launched from the site of the Satish Dhawan Space Center at 03:29 Moscow time.
