The analemma is the curve of the figure eight, connecting a series of sequential positions of the Sun in the sky of the Earth at the same time of day throughout the year.
Is it possible to make an analemma of the moon? The trick is to wait a little longer. On average, the Moon returns to the same position in the sky each day by about 50 minutes and 29 seconds later. Thus, you should take a photograph of the moon 50 minutes and 29 seconds later in the following days. During one of the lunar period, or lunar month, is to be traced to a curve similar to the analemma because the actual position of the moon wanders due to its inclined elliptical orbit.
To create this composite image of the lunar analemma, astronomer George Saponas chose the lunar month from 26 March to 18 April. Photo was he doing near Mogyorod in Hungary.
