In the French region of Mial is the largest network of underground caves Trubak. Her first research began in the 20s of the XIX century. According to modern speleologists, the passages of the system extend twice or three times further than previously assumed, and reach approximately 10 km.
In the past, the caves were used as a refuge by various people, including the Kamisards of the Reformation era, as well as the Trabuikar robbers.
But one of the main attractions of this place is a strange and inexplicable phenomenon called "One Hundred Thousand Soldiers".
In fact, these are mysterious formations of minerals formed under water. In their composition, 95% is calcite, the remaining 5% is clay. Unlike other formations characteristic of caves (in particular, stalagmites and stalactites), "one hundred thousand soldiers" do not have "partners" hanging over them.
No hypothesis about the mechanism of the phenomenon's origin is still able to explain the nature of the phenomenon 100%. The Miala Caves continue to attract experts and tourists from all over the world who want to see these amazing formations with their own eyes.
