Initial data
In 2016, Ella Reeve said she felt an "ice cold" when she took a picture while on a tour of Back to Backs near Birmingham Racecourse.
The picture showed a shadow in the bedroom, but a 30-year-old witness said there was no one else in the room and the shadow did not fall on the next bed.
Ella said she hoped it was her late grandfather's shadow.
The World War II veteran used to live in the same house and died just two weeks earlier.
Original news
In 2016, Ella Reeve said she felt “icy cold” as she took the snap during a guided tour of the historic Back to Backs next to Birmingham Hippodrome.
The image showed a shadow in a bedroom – but the 30-year-old said there was no-one else in the room and the shadow did not fall on the nearby bed.
Ella said she hoped the shadow was that of her late grandfather.
The Second World War veteran used to live in a similar back-to-back house and had died just two weeks earlier.
Hypotheses
Illusions associated with the refraction and reflection of light
Reflection is a physical process of interaction of waves or particles with the surface, changing the direction of the wave front at the boundary of two media with different properties, in which the wave front returns into the medium from which it came. The reflection may be specular (that is, such as is observed when using a mirror) or diffuse (in this case, the reflection is not saved the path of the rays from the object, but only the energy component of the luminous flux) depending on the nature of the surface.
