Initial data
The night before the incident, 12-year-old Karen had a vivid dream in which she returned to the scene of the first incident and found small figures waiting for her.
It seemed that the dream had somehow brought her back to her old places. She returned to the picnic area and was again "captured" by the strange creatures. She could feel their small hands touching her legs, lifting her up as if she were being led somewhere.
She recalls lying on the table and experiencing excruciating pain in her forehead.
When she returned home, she suffered from a headache and a high fever, and at night she was very ill. A doctor came to see her, and she remembers him saying that her glands were inflamed.
