A video clip showing a rare natural phenomenon has been published. It was witnessed by residents and guests of the resort town of Stow Mountain in the US state of Vermont.
The authorship belongs to Benjamin Trachtenberg. He captured how tourists who came to ski, faced with the "snow devil" (by analogy with the" dust devil " — in English-speaking countries, so called sand vortices).
Snownado ("snegonado"), as some eyewitnesses ingeniously called it, ran into a group of skiers and literally pierced it. They had no choice but to stop and wait for the snowstorm to disappear. The Snow Devil spun for about half a minute. Fortunately, it did not cause any damage to people.
According to experts from the World Meteorological Organization, the phenomenon of a snow vortex is extremely rare in nature.
