Mysterious disappearances of sea vessels remain one of the main mysteries of the universe. There are many examples in history when ships with crew members who died under strange circumstances were found at sea or on the shore. What happens to ships at sea — Russian scientist Vladimir Shuleikin found out at the time.
In 1890, something inexplicable happened to the ship "Marlborough Glasgow" — the ship sailed and did not return back. Twenty years later, the ship was found in the area of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago. The most terrible thing is that the skeletons of twenty crew members were in such poses, as if their service continued. Everything pointed to the fact that death caught the sailors instantly.
In the thirties of the twentieth century, Russian researcher Vladimir Shuleikin was working on his book "Physics of the Sea", and solved the mystery of cases like the death of the Marlborough Glasgow. It is not some mythical higher forces that are to blame, but specific physical processes.
"When the wind sweeps over the waves of a stormy sea, infrasound vibrations are recorded in the air, which are perceived by the human body. The ship can become a resonator for such vibrations. With certain parameters of infrasound vibrations, a person can simply be paralyzed. If the frequency coincides with the frequency of the circulatory system, an artery rupture may occur," Shuleikin wrote.
