The creators of "Skyglow" project, which shows the impact of urban light pollution with time-laps clips, photographs and books, produced another wonderful video. "Cybalski elegies" filmmakers Gavin Heffernan and Harun Mehmedinovic visited national Park, the Grand Canyon and took pictures of a rare weather phenomenon.
In a mesmerizing video of clouds going in the canyon as boiling water in a Jacuzzi. At the same time the Sun rises and sets in the background, creating the pink sky that you've ever seen. These clouds roll like waves in the ocean crash on the rocks. This phenomenon is called cloud inversion and it happens when cold air descends into the canyon, and on top, not giving up, it covers a layer of warm air.
"We are very fortunate that we were able to capture this moment, this unique footage not found anywhere else," says Mehmedinovic.
He and Heffernan, who rode 240 thousand kilometers across the globe for his new book and video series, working with the International dark sky Association, a nonprofit organization that fights for the preservation of dark skies worldwide.
