On the sea beach in Monterey Bay in California (USA), locals discovered a mysterious skull of enormous size. This interesting artifact has raised many questions among researchers and residents of the region.
Paleontologists from the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History promptly began to study the find and came to the conclusion that the skull probably belongs to a sea creature, according to preliminary data, most likely a fin whale. This discovery has given rise to speculation that the skull could have been left over from the carcass of a whale found on the same coast last year.
The remains of the animal, discovered in October last year, were too badly decomposed to be identified. However, thanks to the new find, scientists hope to get more information about this mysterious creature.
