A resident of Cork city filmed a group of glowing objects on his phone. He claims that he was in a hurry to shoot a UFO on a mobile camera and confused something in the settings. And as a result, there is no sound on the video.

Witnesses who managed to film the appearance of all kinds of strange-shaped aircraft tend to immediately post their video on YouTube, rather than wait until several months have passed.
But the user of the popular video hosting under the nickname Naktis Ireland chose the latter option. He filmed unidentified objects that appeared over the Irish city of Cork back in December 2012, but, for some unknown reason, postponed posting the video until March 16.
The video, which is almost three minutes long, shows the audience several groups of glowing balls moving smoothly in the evening sky.
“I apologize for the quality, I was shooting on a mobile phone. Ironically, I have a Canon EOS 55D camera, but I didn't follow it into the house because I was afraid that they (the balls) would disappear by my return. Since this is a rare opportunity, I had to use my phone to record," explains Naktis Ireland.
A video with bright objects hovering over the city of Cork interested the American writer Whitley Strieber, who wrote, according to the New York Times newspaper in 1987, the No. 1 bestseller - the book "Contact".
If we recall Strieber's biography, it is easy to understand why he was attracted to the glowing balls. So in 1985, the writer claimed that he was abducted by strange creatures, whom he dubbed "aliens", and in 1998 a strange stranger came to Whitley, dialogues with whom are described in the book ”The Key".
Strieber stated his opinion about the Irish UFO in an email: "It would be wonderful if there were more flashes. I think they are too big for fireworks. Maybe it's sky lanterns or something else."
The writer brought in experts in the field of special effects to investigate the incident.
One of the members of Strieber's team, a cinematographer named Dan, shared his opinion with the journalists of a western tabloid:
“I noticed the realistic manner of movement of UFOs: their brightness and size decreased as they passed trees, lampposts and bushes. Only a very good craftsman can forge such details”"
The author of the video himself avoids using the words UFOs and aliens:
“I never mentioned aliens. I said they were very bright, strange balls that were not identified. Believe in what you want to believe, everything is possible”"
