Initial data
André Vignale, engineer and photographer, July 18, 1952 were walking in the French Chauvet lake for many hours, photographing a UFO coming out of the Northwest sky. The sky was clear and bright, and UFO a few hours moving across the sky at an altitude of 1000 meters.
Photos of Lac Chauvet first appeared in the book "the Truth about flying saucers" (The Truth about Flying Saucers) Amy Michel (released in September 1975). The photos were made by M. Frenelum July 18, 1952, who until his death remained convinced that they had seen and photographed some kind of natural phenomenon. He believed that the extraterrestrial origin of the disk was not possible due to the large interstellar distances between star systems [Michel, 1957]. Only in 1994, these photographs were subjected to a thorough and detailed study by Dr. Gerena, a Professor at the Institute of astrophysics in Paris.

There were analyzed a series of four photographs disc-shaped object apparently flying in the sky. Some of the details led us to the development of a mathematical model of the intended trajectory. The model was confirmed by measurements on the photographs, which showed that the disk was removed from the camera, flew in a straight and horizontal trajectory, and was not an invention.

The Photos from Lac Chauvet, France
The Lac Chauvet photos first appeared in Aime Michel‘s “The Truth about Flying Saucers,” which showed a clear discoid object. The photos were taken by M. Fregnale on July 18, 1952, who would remain convinced until his death that he had seen, and taken pictures, of some natural phenomenon. He believed that an extraterrestrial origin for the disc was impossible because of the large interstellar distances between star systems [Michel, 1957]. Only in 1994 were these photos subjected to a careful and detailed examination by Dr. Guerin, a professor at the Institute d’Astrophysique in Paris.

A Scientific Analysis of Four Photographs of a Flying Disk Near Lac Chauvet (France)

ABSTRACT
A series of four photographs of a disk-shaped object apparently flying in the sky was physically analyzed. Certain details led us to develop a mathematical model of the supposed trajectory. The model was validated by measurements on the photographs, which demonstrated that the disk was distant from the camera, flying along a straight and horizontal trajectory, and was not a fabrication.

The Chauvet Lake UFO
Andre Fregnale, an engineer and photographer, walked around France’s Lake Chauvet on July 18, 1952, for a great many hours taking pictures of a UFO that came out of the Northwest sky. The sky was clear and luminous and the UFO moved in the heavens at an altitude of 1,000 meters for several hours. The film was developed and analyzed by Pierre Guerin, a well respected astronomer and confirmed the UFO object as real. The photographs have been scrutinized by many experts and all have found them to be real shots of a real UFO.
Hypotheses
Deliberate falsification
This version includes any falsifications that imitate unexplained phenomena both from the outside: practical jokes, flash mobs, fake news, witness fraud, staging, etc.
There are many ways to make something similar to a ghost or a flying saucer from improvised materials, without using video and photomontage.
Many homemade things made for the sake of a joke, a practical joke or a direct imitation of a mystical being or event can be taken as unexplained not only in photos and videos, but also in reality.
Investigation
Unfortunately, on the website of the specified log (scientificexploration.org) we have not yet found this study to the analysis of the photos. The fact that photographs the real object of the material world in any case does not prove that it is an alien ship or another UFO. This can be a small model simulating a UFO or something like that. Based on the comparison of the size of the UFO and other objects in the picture - the object is not very large.
