Initial data

Initial information from sources or from an eyewitness
Incident date:
18.06.2019 23:21
Location:
Netherlands

Information from the eyewitness:

In may 2018, I noticed that next to the Moon was a yellow star. Even if the sky were not stars, have you ever seen a yellow star near the moon. It was also strange that when the Moon was moving, that star went along with it (still observed in June 2019).

All the stars in the sky (the sky) remains in 1 place and do not rotate with the Moon. This star, which now is white, moves in the same direction as the Moon. I don't think it's really a star.

It is sometimes said that the Moon, a kind of companion, maybe a star too. Look often at the sky, it is not to be missed. Now you too can see the moon and the star. Sometimes it is very close to the moon, sometimes further.

Original news

Hypotheses

List of versions containing features matching the eyewitness descriptions or material evidence

The heavenly bodies

The brightest heavenly bodies in the sky are Venus, Jupiter, and sometimes Mars and, of course, the Moon.

Venus is the bright yellow of the evening or morning star, shining in the sky on the background of evening or dawn. Maximum brightness of Venus can reach up to 4.3 m, and she is the third brightness of the sun in earth's sky after the sun and the moon. It so well reflects the light of the Sun that it is relatively easy to see and day, especially if you know the location. It manifests itself in the form of tiny blinking white dots.

Investigation

Versions testing, their confirmation or refutation. Additional information, notes during the study of materials

Most likely Venus and Jupiter. They, like other heavenly bodies, making a visible motion across the sky.

Date nablyudenii in 2018 is not specified, but it may be noted that Venus was visible near the Moon as a bright star:

From all corners of Europe have been reports and speculation about the bright dot near the Moon, visible in the last days.

That dot is Venus, the second closest planet to the Sun, which in recent years has moved closer to the Ground.

The best thing you could see 2 Dec.

Now near the Moon and Jupiter clearly visible.
