Initial data
A local resident, Hendra Hartanto, claimed that he managed to capture several mysterious creatures as tall as 4 inches (10 cm) after undergoing a process of isolation and meditation for an undisclosed period of time in Pantai Selatan.
These tiny creatures are interesting not only because they are something "out of this world", but also because they are similar in size to reports of encounters with tiny UFO inhabitants seen in Malaysia.
Most of the UFO creatures emerging from landed tiny UFOs in Malaysia were only three to nine inches (7.5-22 cm) tall.
However, Hartanto never claimed that the creatures he captured were UFO inhabitants. He believed that these creatures were manifestations of the white apes, caused by the spiritually imposed curse of the Hartanto.
According to him, the strange creatures aged for more than a thousand years, and every year the size of their bodies became smaller. To keep them alive, Hartanto fed these creatures human blood (!) every 35 days. He said he received blood from reliable sources, and sometimes even donated his own.
If these creatures did feed on blood, perhaps the loss of blood in cases of cattle (and goats) injuries might shed some light on who might need blood to survive. To back up his claims about the captured creatures, Hartanto put his finds on display in shopping malls around Jakarta.
It currently charges RS 5,000 to anyone interested in seeing these creatures, and the Hartanto fan base is mostly made up of Housewives and children.
The tiny creatures are almost human in appearance, but more like long-haired dolls with round, bulging eyes. Without fangs and clawed fingers and toes, one of the creatures looks more like a "Teddy bear" in the form of a child. The only visible difference is that they appear to be alive.
Hartanto usually shows four such unusual creatures, which he calls “Jenglot". It has male and female Genlots, and according to Hartanto, males are more aggressive compared to females of this species. Each of Gerlachov has a different complexion, allowing him to easily distinguish them and give them individual names.
Despite the fact that these tiny creatures are becoming increasingly popular among Southeast Asians, the Hartanto has incurred the wrath of the Muslim community. The latter believe that the presence of Gerlachov can contribute to a deeper faith in supernatural phenomena.
