During a period of intense concentration of UFO sightings in the area, a man named Jose Hernani claimed to have come across a creature of light while praying in a local grotto.
He described the creature as a woman about 19 years old, with finely defined features, a pink complexion, a heart-shaped mouth, and long brown wavy hair. Her eyes were a "penetrating" blue. She was wearing a silky dress with a short belt about 4 inches wide. He saw two faces on the belt.
Hernani interpreted the creature as " The Virgin Mary."
